I replaced the fork on a new, FS “Gravity” bargain-bike with this one.It’s decent/solid quality and the price makes it a home run.For hobby/enthusiast/fitness riders who like doing their thing on/in steep trails/woods, that aren’t overly technical, this is perfect.Installation can be done hanging the bike on a hitch-mounted car carrier.Removal of the old fork’s crown race (if planning on re-using) without the specific tool will present a challenge, but is doable. Over-all it’s an awesome upgrade performance-wise for a cheaper bike.And it looks cool.If you want a serious downhill fork, buy the one that’s attached to the expensive/dedicated downhill bike.For a noticable improved difference in downhill performance on your daily/weekend bike, go for it.
